Inuit Women and their Art delves into the artistic history of Inuit communities across Canada. Learn about Helen Kalvak (Ulukhaktok/Holman), the driving force of early printmaking programs, Irene Avaalaaqiaq (Qamani’tuaq/Baker Lake), and Jessie Kenalogak (Qamani’tuaq/Baker Lake), whose intensely personal drawings have never been exhibited to the public. This talk was presented at the Museum of Inuit Art (MIA), on March 8 2012.
