The History of Women and the Toronto Dance Theatre

The History of Women and the Toronto Dance Theatre (TDT) explores the national impact of the TDT during its first 25 years. This presentation took place at the Toronto Dance Theatre, on June 25, 2012.

Patricia Beatty, along with David Earle and Peter Randazzo, formed the Toronto Dance Theatre in 1968. Beatty is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, and director. Though retired, Beatty continues to teach. In 2004 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada.

The Toronto Dance Theatre is one of Canada’s leading dance companies. The company makes its home in Toronto’s historical Cabbagetown neighbourhood. For more information please see Toronto Dance Theatre.
